**About the Tour**

Cerro Negro is a 728 meter high active volcano located in León, Nicaragua. The hike to the top of the volcano takes about 45 minutes, and during the journey you will be able to enjoy impressive views of the surroundings. Once at the top, you will be able to descend at a moderate speed wearing protective gear. The descent is an exciting and fun experience, and will allow you to feel the adrenaline rush.

The tour starts from a previously agreed meeting point, either from your hotel or another place within the city of León. It is recommended to start the adventure early with the transfer to the visitor center of the volcanic complex in Cerro Negro. From León in an all-terrain vehicle we travel about 40 minutes along rural roads covered with volcanic sand, passing through agricultural communities near the Los Maribios volcanic mountain range. After registering in the books of the visitor center, the time has come to start the walk through landscapes that will make the adventure more exciting.
